The pre-fight conference between Nollywood actor Charles Okocha and Nigerian street-pop musician Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, took place on Saturday at Victoria Island, Lagos State’s Landmark Beach.

In the interim between their highly anticipated fight on December 26 and this conference, Portable and Okocha allegedly got into a brawl.

To settle their contractual disputes, the two performers were forced to take part in a celebrity boxing match.

Remember that Okocha and Portable got into an internet spat about a supposed N40 million scam? It has been said that Okocha only sent Portable a small portion of the money, defrauding him of the entire sum.

After a brawl, they decided to resolve their issues through physical combat, and on Boxing Day, December 23, they both set up a boxing match. Heritage Boxing Entertainment would provide the title for the contest.

During the press conference, Portable and Okocha got into a heated argument multiple times, trading jabs and threats while Portable insisted that the HBE belt belonged to him.

The belt is mine, I am the owner, and I will beat him. This is not about English, I will use a punch to beat you,” Portable said.

“I am going to take this belt on the 26th and I will take it to Sango and show everyone at home. If you want to start it here, we will start it here, I am ready for you.”

While Okocha said, “Bring it on, I am going to knock you out to sleep.

“Too much talk doesn’t fill a basket, when I am ready, we will start. You are ungrateful, I got you a chance and now you are asking for a cheque.”
