Ninety days after the current campaign concludes, on August 17, the Premier League announced on Friday that the 2024–25 season will begin.
The European Championship concludes a little more than a month later, and the new season starts with a July 14 final.
Following criticism this season, there won’t be a game on Christmas Eve; instead, the final game of the 2024–2025 season will take place on May 25, 2025.
The League stated, “Arrangements will be made to allow more rest time over three of the festive match rounds, with no club playing within 60 hours of another match, in keeping with previous commitments made to clubs to address the congested schedule across Christmas and New Year.”
There won’t be a match on December 24, 2024.
Sunday’s match between Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers is scheduled, and Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of the London team, has expressed his displeasure at having to play on Christmas Eve.
