No security breach at Aso Rock, says Presidency
The Presidency has dismissed claims that a kitchen staff member at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa attempted to poison President Bola Tinubu.
The denial was issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday, March 1. He was reacting to a viral video circulating online which purportedly showed scenes from the Presidential Villa and alleged that a presidential chef had been arrested over a poisoning plot.
According to the narration in the video, the supposed incident prompted swift intervention by a special police squad and led to heightened security measures within the presidential environment.
However, the Presidency described the claim as false and misleading, maintaining that no such arrest or security breach occurred at the villa. Officials urged the public to disregard the video and avoid spreading unverified information capable of causing unnecessary panic.
