This decision was revealed by the Minister of Works, David Umahi, after a meeting with President Tinubu at the State House in Abuja. The repairs, which are considered emergency repairs, will cost approximately N217 billion. In addition to these repairs, President Tinubu has also approved various road construction projects, including the resurfacing of the Third Mainland Bridge, construction of the Lekki deep seaport road in Lagos, reconstruction of two collapsed bridges in Enugu, and the reconstruction of two locations on the Onitsha-Owerri Road. Furthermore, the ongoing Abuja-Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia road will be upgraded, and the Lafia by-pass will be dualized.
