PRESIDENT BUHARI INFORMS NIGERIANS IN QATAR THAT LEGITIMATE, OPEN, AND FAIR ELECTIONS WERE HELD UNDER MY GOVERNMENT.

According to President Muhammadu Buhari, his administration took steps to set up credible, transparent, and fair elections. The Governorship and State Assembly elections will take held on Saturday, March 11.

The president made this statement while urging Nigerians living in Doha, Qatar, to support Bola Tinubu as he becomes office on May 29, 2023. The president made the request at a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday as part of his visit to the State of Qatar, according to a statement from the president’s spokesperson, Malam Garba Shehu, on March 8.

He claims that the president urged Nigerians in Qatar to “back Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s new government, so that Nigeria will continue to be the light of hope and wealth in our continent and an example for other African countries to imitate.”
