On Thursday, November 24, President Buhari left Abuja for Niger Republic, where he will attend an African Union (AU) conference.

The President will attend both the Extraordinary Session on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the African Union Summit on Industrialization and Economic Diversification, according to a statement provided by Presidential spokeswoman Garba Shehu.

The President will also inaugurate the Muhammadu Buhari Boulevard, which was named in his honor by the government of the Republic of Niger, and attend the launch of the book’s French translation, “Muhammadu Buhari: The Challenges of Leadership in Nigeria.”

Prior to the AU Summit on Friday, November 25, 2022, the Boulevard will be named and the French edition of the book, written by John Paden, a professor of international studies at George Mason University in northern Virginia, will be released.
