The President, speaking at an audience with a delegation of South-West Muslim faithful, led by Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, in Abuja on Friday, assured Nigerians that better days were ahead and that the country’s current problems were only temporary, according to a press release issued by the Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
“Nigeria is the only nation in which we can have faith. We’ll work hard, and Nigerians will profit as our economy improves. The President stated, “I am quite certain of it, and we are working hard to accomplish that.
The President stated that the goals of his administration’s policies and initiatives are to create a more just, moral, and equitable society where diligence is rewarded, and indolence has minimal consequences.
It has to do with our future. Our future needs to be ensured. Almighty Allah will not place too much pressure on us. He has a reason for having us here. It could appear challenging, even harsh, but things will improve. For forty years, we evaded it (removing the petroleum subsidy). While it hurts for all of us right now, we had to take away the subsidy in order to keep Nigeria from collapsing.
Nothing is more important in the history of prosperous countries than for a country’s leadership to make tough choices when and why they should. The President said, “There wouldn’t have been any money for the subnationals.”
In addition to thanking the leaders for their well wishes and encouragement, President Tinubu reassured them that his administration is committed to equipping young people with skills and fostering an atmosphere that would allow them to thrive.
Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, the president of the Ummah, and H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola, the minister of marine and blue economy, praised President Tinubu for his bravery in ending the petroleum subsidy and for launching the essential, albeit challenging, reforms.
“No leader, military or civilian, had been able to crack the tough case of eliminating the petroleum subsidy so that our nation could advance. You’ve completed it. God will carry you through, declared Alhaji Oladejo.
