President Bola Tinubu proudly joins Nigerians, the people and leaders of Ile-Ife, and the global Yoruba community in celebrating the 50th birthday of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II.

In a message delivered through his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised the Ooni for his remarkable leadership and wisdom since taking the throne at 41. He highlighted Oba Ogunwusi’s pivotal role in preserving the rich heritage of the Yoruba people in Ile-Ife, often referred to as The Source.

The President also commended the Ooni’s deep sense of responsibility, noting his wisdom and insight in leading both as the traditional ruler of Ile-Ife in Osun State and as the spiritual leader of the Yoruba people.

Tinubu further recognized the Ooni’s significant contributions as Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, where he plays a key role in promoting unity, backing government initiatives, and advocating for peace and religious tolerance across the country.

He also praised Oba Ogunwusi’s unwavering efforts in empowering women and youth through education and entrepreneurship, as well as his philanthropic work, which has uplifted many in Nigeria and beyond.

With warm wishes, President Tinubu celebrated the Ooni for upholding the values of humility, peace, and generosity, while honoring the dignity of his revered position. As the Ooni marks this milestone, Tinubu expressed heartfelt prayers for the continued success and prosperity of his reign, which continues to benefit the people of Ife and Nigeria as a whole.
