Babatunji Wusu –
President Bola Tinubu has officially swore in two commissioners from Ogun and Osun states to the National Population Commission (NPC).
The swearing-in ceremony was held in the Council Chamber on Monday, shortly before the Federal Executive Council meeting began.
During the brief ceremony, the commissioners, Hon. Fasuwa Johnson of Ogun State and Hon. Amidu Raheem of Osun State, read their citations and took the oath of office.
The Vice President, Kassim Shettima, the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, cabinet ministers, and other government officials were also present to witness the occasion.
This appointment follows the NPC’s successful two-day management retreat in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state, last week.
The NPC is Nigeria’s major data mining commission, responsible for collecting, combining, analyzing, and publishing data about the country’s people and economy.
