President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wrote to the Senate on Friday to alert them of the coup in Niger Republic and the Economic Committee of West African States (ECOWAS) decisions on how to restore the democratically elected government to power.
During plenary, Senate President Godswill Akpabio read Tinubu’s letter. The letter was titled, “Implementation of the Economic Committee of West African States (ECOWAS) resolutions on the political situation in Niger Republic.”
