Prosper Obah Joins Shakhtar Donetsk on Long-Term Deal After Impressive Spell at LNZ Cherkasy

Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Prosper Obah, DAILY reports.

Obah joined Shakhtar from fellow Ukrainian side LNZ Cherkasy after an eye-catching spell that underlined his growing reputation as a creative force in midfield.

The 22-year-old playmaker committed his future to the Donetsk-based club by signing a contract that runs until December 2030. He only arrived at LNZ Cherkasy during the summer transfer window but wasted no time in making a decisive impact.

Across all competitions, Obah delivered eight goals and one assist in 17 appearances, performances that attracted Shakhtar’s interest and prompted the move.

He is scheduled to officially link up with Shakhtar Donetsk on January 1, as the club strengthens its squad with one of Nigeria’s promising young midfield talents.
