Supporters of the Court of Appeal-removed National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Sam Anyanwu, gathered in front of the party’s national secretariat in Abuja to protest against the planned resumption of Sunday Ude-Okoye as the new National Secretary. The protesters, stationed at the rear gate of the Wadata Plaza headquarters in Wuse Zone 5, expressed their discontent through chants such as “No vacancy in the National Secretary’s office” and “Senator Sam Anyanwu remains the National Secretary.”

In response to the protest, security around the premises was strengthened, with additional police officers deployed to ensure order. A police lorry was stationed outside the main gate, and personnel conducted thorough security checks on workers and visitors entering the building. As of the latest report, no national officers from the party had arrived at the secretariat, and further details are awaited.
