Dr. Rahman Adedoyin, the proprietor of the Hilton Hotel in Ile Ife, Osun State, was found guilty of murdering Timothy Adegoke, a master’s student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife, and was given the death penalty by hanging.
On Tuesday, May 30, the state’s top judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo, presided over a court that found Adedoyin and three members of his staff guilty of murder and conspiracy.

While reading his decision during the ongoing trial of Adedoyin and other suspects in Osogbo, Justice Ojo made the announcement. Adegoke passed away in questionable circumstances at the Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife on November 6, 2021, three days after checking in to take a test at the school’s remote learning center in Moro.

The hotel administration then put him in a shallow grave without telling his family or the police.
