-Young centre-back joins from Peterborough United
-Set for top-flight debut in Scottish Premiership
Rangers Football Club have officially completed the signing of 23-year-old Nigerian-born defender, Emmanuel Fernandez, from English League One side Peterborough United.
Fernandez, who featured in 42 matches last season, inked a four-year deal with the Scottish giants, becoming the latest addition to manager Russell Martin’s summer rebuild at Ibrox.
The commanding centre-back will wear jersey number 37 as he steps up to play in a top-tier league for the first time in his career, after spells with several lower-division clubs in England.
His move signals a significant step forward in his professional journey, as he brings both youth and experience to a Rangers side aiming to compete strongly in domestic and European competitions.
Fernandez’s signing aligns with Rangers’ strategy of investing in promising talents capable of growing into key roles within the team’s defensive setup.
