The Senators earn thirty six million (N36 million) while House of Representative members earn twenty five million (N25 Million).

Looking at the organogram, it is not proper for lawmakers to earn higher than the President; hence something should be done to reverse the order. The Emir of Kano pointed out that increasing VAT by 50% signifies further impoverishing the poor masses; hence making the increase in minimum wage of no effects.
