Babatunji Wusu –
To lessen the impact of the current economic climate, the president’s wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has released a total of one hundred thousand naira (100,000) to two hundred and fifty elderly persons who are vulnerable and 65 years of age or older.
Mrs. Tinubu stated that her goal for this Christmas season was to lessen the difficulties of elderly people who were vulnerable.
This was revealed by Senator Tinubu on Thursday at the Renewed Hope Initiative Elderly Support Scheme (RHIESS) kickoff event, which had the theme Better Days Ahead.
The wife of the governor of Ebonyi State, Mrs. Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, represented Mrs. Tinubu. She stated that the economic empowerment program is the result of a strong dedication to the welfare of senior citizens and represents a major advancement in their shared goal of creating a society that is more compassionate and inclusive.
Subsequently, Mrs. Nwifuru urged Ebonyi stakeholders to assist her office in combating gender-based violence inside the state.
Governor Francis Nwifuru, for his part, urged the women of the governors to follow the president’s wife’s lead and praised her for her inventiveness.
According to Nwifuru, “She is teaching our wives diverse ways of life, so I’m not surprised by the kind of innovations she is bringing to this administration.”
Since our president’s spouses are God’s gifts to the president of the Republic of Nigeria, I do encourage the wives of the governors to aspire to be like the presidents’ wife.
She is the one strengthening the bonds between them and inspiring encouragement. She also educates the public on the need of unity, peace, and elder celebration—saying, “I want so many of us to come back home and celebrate the elders.”
“To my beloved spouse, I’m not shocked; I still recall the day I first saw you and how compassionate and willing you were to assist the underprivileged.
“Many of us have gone through huddles, and it cheers our hearts and gives us confidence to have people who feel like us when we see one that is very open and eager to help the poor.”
It’s not that we have a lot; rather, it’s that we’re inclined to aid those in need. A state must provide aid to those in need at a specific moment. To complete the task at hand, all hands must be on the desk, as I have stated often and during our most recent gathering here.
“As government employees, we are facing many difficulties right now, particularly in light of the president’s wife’s activities. I see it as a challenge to at least keep in mind that the best approach to building a city or a state is through human capital development.
“Therefore, as I told my wife, the contributions I made earlier on were insufficient, and I decided to take a bold step, and it is very hard, but I must do it.” The President’s wife’s determination and temperament are already making a significant contribution to our wonderful country.
