The House of Representatives has asked the federal government to take a cue from the Saudi Arabia government and the Vatican city to ban open worship in order to stop the spread of coronavirus.
However, the House rejected an amendment to close schools for the next 14 days to prevent the spread of the virus.
The House also banned all airlines from coming into Nigeria, and refused to consider the return of Nigerians, as lawmakers concluded that the United Kingdom and other countries are equipped enough to take care of those at risk of the Virus.
The House also banned visitors from coming to the National Assembly and also called on the management of the National Assembly to do a medical test for the members of the National Assembly and their staff.
