Residence in Ikeja is ravaged by fire, destroying five rooms.

Early on Friday, December 1, tragedy struck when a fire completely destroyed property at 3 Michael Ogun Street in GRA Ikeja, Lagos.

Thankfully, no casualties were reported. The fire is said to have begun around 4 a.m.

As of the time of publication, according to Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service Director Margret Adeseye, the issue has been resolved.

“It is a fire that gutted the upper floor of a duplex building used as a residence,” Adeseye said.There was damage to five rooms on the upper story of the duplex structure that included personal belongings.

As at the time of publication, the immediate or remote source of the fire remains unknown.
