The UCL round of 16 draw was finalised in Lyon.

Liverpool was given the opportunity to face Real Madrid again in the round of 16, giving it a second chance to exact revenge for losing to them in the Champions League final last year.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain will square off in a rematch of the 2020 final, which the German team won.

The 2021 winners will play RB Leipzig, not Manchester City. Borussia Dortmund, a German opponent, was also attracted by Chelsea.

Tottenham Hotspur was given a difficult draw against Italian champions AC Milan after finishing first in its group last week courtesy to a last-second victory away at Marseille.

While Eintracht Frankfurt will play Napoli, Inter Milan will play Porto, while Benfica was paired against tournament outsider Club Brugge of Belgium.

All last-16 matches will have their first legs played in February, followed by their second halves in March.

On June 10 of the next year, Istanbul will host the Champions League final from this season.

The final was scheduled to take place in Turkey’s metropolis in 2020 and again in 2021, but each time it was shifted to Portugal because of the pandemic.
