RSIEC to Unveil 2025 Rivers LG Election Timetable, Guidelines at March 5 Stakeholders’ Meeting

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) is set to unveil the timetable and guidelines for the 2025 Local Government Elections at a stakeholders’ meeting on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

In a statement signed by the RSIEC Chairman and Chief Electoral Commissioner, Hon. Justice Adolphus Enebeli (Rtd), the commission announced that the meeting would take place at its headquarters on Aba Road, Port Harcourt, at 2:00 PM.

The gathering will bring together key stakeholders, including leaders of registered political parties, traditional rulers, security agencies, religious bodies, media representatives, professional groups, civil society organizations, NGOs, and the general electorate.

A major highlight of the meeting will be the official release of the election timetable and guidelines, signaling the formal commencement of preparations for the local government polls.

RSIEC has urged all invited participants to be punctual to ensure a seamless and productive deliberation.
