Authorities have arrested two men accused of attacking Rivers State University (RSU) students at their off-campus residence in Emohua. The suspects have been detained and will face a magistrate on December 2, 2025.
Emohua Local Government Chairman, Sir Chidi Lloyd, stormed the Nigerian Police Anti-Cultism Squad headquarters earlier today to inspect the suspects and press for swift justice.
The arrests follow a violent assault this week in which RSU students were targeted during a suspected cult-related clash near the campus. Local authorities, including Sir Lloyd, have condemned the attack and vowed to deploy tighter patrols around student communities to deter further threats. Police investigators say the suspects are already linked to ongoing anti-cultism operations in the area, and the broader probe intensifies.
