The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has rescheduled its Third Quarter Capital Market Committee (CMC) meeting, originally slated for November 14, 2024. In a statement released Saturday, the SEC cited “urgent regulatory commitments” as the reason for the postponement.
The CMC is a crucial industry forum, uniting the SEC, capital market operators, trade groups, and stakeholders to discuss market growth and address regulatory issues. With CEOs from all registered firms—including brokers, investment advisers, custodians, and fund managers—the CMC serves as a vital platform for idea exchange and collaboration on market development.
