The Federal Capital Territory’s N607,952,023,580.00 budget estimate for the fiscal year 2022 was approved by the House of Representatives on Wednesday for second reading.

The bill’s sponsor, Hon. Peter Akpatason, the Deputy Majority Leader of the House, stated that of the entire money, N76,569,904,857.00 will go toward staff expenditures, N138,199,851,110.00 will go toward overhead costs, and the remaining N393,182,267,614.00 will go toward capital projects.

According to him, the budget was created for the fiscal year that began on January 1 and ended on December 31, 2022.

The bill’s full title read, “Bill for an Act to Authorize the Issue from the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s Statutory Revenue Fund of the Federal Capital Territory Administration Account, the Total Amount of N607,952,023,580.00 (Six Hundred and Seven Billion, Nine Hundred and Fifty Two Million, Twenty Three Thousand, Five Hundred and Eighty Naira) Only, of which the Amount of N76,569,904,857.00 (Seventy Six
