Senate, on Tuesday, adjourned plenary and suspended all other legislative activities in honor of late House of Representatives member, Temitope Olatoye Sugar.

Sugar was killed by unknown gunmen in Oyo State during the governorship and state houses of assemblies’ elections.

In line with the tradition of the Senate, the lawmakers suspended their plenary to honour the lawmaker.

Senators are to resume plenary and full legislative activities on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Senate is set to commence the debate on the general principles of the 2019 budget presented by President Muhammadu Buhari last December.
