Abdul Ningi, a senator representing Bauchi Central for the PDP, has revealed that a few of his colleagues received a N2 million recess allowance.

On August 11, 2023, he revealed this while making an appearance on Channels Television.

Just as the parliamentarians completed the ministerial screening, the Senate president said that “a token has been sent to our various accounts by the Clerk of the National Assembly in order to enable all of us to enjoy our holidays.” Akpabio instantly deleted the comment after realizing that the session was being broadcast live on television, but the barrage of attacks didn’t stop.

Ningi commented on the development and stated that, as previously suggested, certain MPs have received an allowance. Nothing has yet been credited to my account. I’ve heard that some people have received $2 million, but I haven’t.
