Opeyemi Bamidele, leader of the Senate and senator for Ekiti Central in the National Assembly, has testified before the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) in support of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
In the petition submitted by Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) about the presidential election on February 25, Bamidele testified at the Tribunal’s session on Wednesday as the only witness for the president and vice president.
Bamidele informed the court in his main testimony that 10,929 votes were subtracted from the total votes the APC received in Kano State.
Regarding the president’s alleged involvement in drug trafficking, the senator claimed Tinubu was never found guilty in the US because no case was ever brought against him there.
