SEYI MAKINDE WINS THE TITLE OF GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR.

Engineer Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo, has garnered recognition for his achievements by being named one of the 2023 Governors of the Year by Leadership Newspapers.

According to an article in the newspaper on Monday, December 11, 2023, Governor Makinde was one of the three governors nationwide who the organization carefully chose to get the prize this year.

The newspaper claims that Governor Makinde was chosen as the 2023 Leadership Governor of the Year because he demonstrated extraordinary leadership during a period when the people of Oyo State were in desperate need of government support. In particular, he invested in infrastructure development to keep up with the state’s growing population, created jobs in both the formal and informal sectors, and made sure Oyo State remained one of the top five states in Nigeria for annual growth in internally generated revenue (IGR).

Governor Makinde has won multiple honors for his accomplishments in the fields of education, agriculture, infrastructure, human capital development, and many other sectors since taking office in 2019.

The Vanguard Newspapers awarded the governor the title of Governor of the Year 2022 on January 28, 2022, in recognition of his commitment to making Oyo State’s population development his top priority.

At its conference for the fourth quarter of 2023, the Nigeria Social Media Week Group recently declared Governor Makinde the most adored and respected governor in the country.

Governor Makinde of Lagos state was named the 2023 Governor of the Year by the PINK organization, which stands for Prestige, Integrity, Nobility, and Knowledge. This award was given to Makinde on November 27, 2023.

This is on top of the excellence award, service devotion, and nation-building award that the National Solemn Assembly in Abuja gave him on Friday, December 1, 2023.

The people of Oyo are fortunate to have a governor such as Governor Makinde, who has exceptional leadership qualities, performance, and passion to the people.
