Afrobeat and dancehall musician Shatta Wale has criticized Ghana’s music industry and asked Nigerians for help.

Shatta Wale has not found the Nigerian market to be interesting. He attacked Burna Boy, a Grammy Award-winning musician, a few months ago while exposing some of the musician’s shady business dealings. Some Nigerians on Twitter flocked to his page to lambast him during their conversation.

Shatta Wale has changed directions in an effort to advance his musical career and gain the backing of the Nigerian music community.

Shatta Wale tweeted, “It’s better we stop arguing with Nigerian fans, promoters, and so on and ask for help.” I’m looking for a record label. Nobody lies to you, Ghanaian music is a disgrace. Shouts to Naija Ghanaians who like to talk but do nothing. Yes, I said it…”

Shatta Wale called the Ghanaian music industry a “disgrace” and criticized it while requesting assistance from Nigerians.
