Seven suspects—Johnson Daniel, Adetunji Okunade, Olaniyan Azeez, Balogun Temitope Asimiyu, Oladapo Hammed, Kazeem Rasak, and Asaka Rauf—were apprehended following a tip-off from a concerned citizen.

Deputy Police PRO Giwa-Alade Emmanuel made this announcement while presenting the suspects at the Command headquarters in Osogbo on September 18. He stated that human bone fragments, female undergarments, and notebooks were recovered as evidence during the arrests.

Emmanuel elaborated, “These suspects were detained based on credible information regarding Johnson Daniel, a mortuary attendant in Ipetu-Ijesa, who allegedly sells portions of human remains to native doctors.” Additionally, he noted that a female undergarment and a notebook containing ritual instructions were discovered at the residence of Balogun Temitope Asimiyu.
