Sir Collins Amajua Withdraws Court Case Against NDC Flagbearer after ending his legal challenge against the emergence of Hon. Okwudili Ezenwankwo as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Orumba North and South Federal Constituency. The move closes the court dispute and shifts attention to the party’s campaign ahead of the general election.

Sir Collins Amajua, who contested the party’s primary election, formally withdrew the suit he filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja. Consequently, the court struck out the case, bringing the legal battle to an end.

Speaking after the proceedings, Amajua said he decided to withdraw the matter after listening to party stakeholders and the people of Orumba.

“I have withdrawn the lawsuit in the interest of the good people of Orumba. My personal interest cannot override the collective interest of our people. I therefore congratulate Ewepudike on his candidacy,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hon. Okwudili Ezenwankwo welcomed the development. He thanked his legal team, led by Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), for their representation after the judge struck out the case.

With the dispute resolved, the NDC is now expected to focus on issue-based campaigning and voter mobilisation across Orumba North and South Federal Constituency. Party leaders also hope the reconciliation will unite supporters and improve preparations for the polls.

Ezenwankwo urged party members to work together, saying unity remains essential to achieving progress for the people of Orumba.
