Prince Fatiu Akiolu, a specialist in advertising, has been chosen by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, as the new General Manager of the Lagos State Signage & Advertisement Agency (LASAA).
His appointment was announced in a circular sent on September 15 by the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, and made available to journalists on September 18 (Monday).
“Akiolu’s appointment is effective as of Monday, September 18. He is anticipated to return to work and guide the agency toward meeting its required contribution to the Lagos Gross Domestic Product.
The appointment of Akiolu by the governor is a part of attempts to restructure LASAA for better performance and development within the state, according to a portion of the circular.
Adedamola Docemo, who had been in charge of the organization since 2019, is replaced by Akiolu, who is the son of Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos. Docemo was fired three months after the governor’s reelection.
