- Darlington was arrested following a cyberstalking allegation from Burna Boy.
- He was released after meeting police conditions with lawyer Deji Adeyanju’s assistance.
- Adeyanju found the petition against Darlington insufficient to warrant his arrest.
Darlington, also known as Speed Darlington, was arrested and detained following a petition from fellow musician Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, who accused him of cyberstalking.
The controversial musician was subsequently released into the custody of lawyer Deji Adeyanju after fulfilling the conditions set by the police at the IGP Intelligence Response Team’s Department in Guzape, Abuja.
According to SaharaReporters, Speed Darlington’s arrest occurred last Friday. Adeyanju confirmed that he had reviewed the petition filed against Darlington by Burna Boy. Initially apprehended in Lagos, Darlington was moved between several police stations in the state before being taken to Abuja, where he faced allegations of cyberstalking. Adeyanju remarked that the petition did not contain sufficient grounds to justify Darlington’s arrest.
