Twenty players have reported to the Super Eagles camp in Portugal in advance of Nigeria’s two international friendlies against Mozambique and Saudi Arabia. This was made public on the Super Eagles’ X account (formerly known as Twitter) on Wednesday, the day their camp officially commenced. The team’s first friendly match is scheduled for Friday against Saudi Arabia.
Bright Osayi-Samuel (Fenerbahce), Jordan Torunarigha (KAA Gent), Kenneth Omeruo (Kasimpasa), and Oluwasemilogo Ajayi (West Bromwich Albion) are among the invited defenders who have already arrived in Portugal.
Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City), Joe Ayodele-Aribo (Southampton), and Alex Iwobi (Fulham) are among the midfielders who have moved to Portugal.
The attackers are Ballon d’Or nominee Victor Osimhen (SSC Napoli), Real Sociedad’s Umar Sadiq, Terem Moffi (OGC Nice), and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface.
Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, Hatayaspor FC’s Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Brentford’s Frank Onyeka are set to report to camp today.
The Super Eagles face the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia in Portimo, Portugal, on Friday, October 13 at 5 p.m., before facing the Mambas of Mozambique in the same city three days later.
