Babatunji Wusu –

On a state visit, President Bola Tinubu left Nigeria on Thursday and traveled to Doha, Qatar.

Shortly after the first phase of the Lagos Red Rail Project was put into service, President Tinubu left Nigeria via the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

President Tinubu is scheduled to visit the State of Qatar for two days in order to deepen bilateral collaboration in a number of areas, such as security, cultural exchange, and economic development, as this platform previously reported.

This is in response to an invitation extended by the State of Qatar’s Emir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

This was disclosed to media on Wednesday night by Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity.

Tinubu will be present when a number of agreements aimed at advancing Nigeria’s real sector, generating value-added investments in trade, education, culture, solid minerals, digital economy, agriculture, and gas are signed. Additionally, the agreements will promote collaboration in counterterrorism efforts.

The President will also take part in an investment and business event that will unite senior leaders from Qatar’s public and private sectors to promote cross-sectoral prospects for growth and development that will benefit both countries.

Senior government representatives will travel with the President to witness the signing of agreements.
