Tacha Blasts Content Creators Over Relentless Lagos Criticism

Former Big Brother Naija star and media personality, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has lashed out at content creators for what she described as their constant and unfair criticism of Lagos State.

The reality star accused them of hypocrisy, arguing that their focus on Lagos gives the impression that it is the only state in Nigeria. She challenged them to showcase highbrow areas in their own states instead of dragging Lagos.

“All these content creators! Every day Lagos State, Lagos State! One will think Lagos is the only state in Nigeria. Oyah, post highbrow areas in your own state and you’ll be nowhere to be found. Doubt you even know who your local government chairman is,” Tacha wrote on X while reacting to a viral video highlighting poor drainage in a Lagos highbrow community.

Her reaction comes amid a wave of criticisms from young Nigerians. Recently, NYSC member Ushie Uguamaye, influencer Scott Iguma, and comedian Acapella stirred controversy after alleging that Lagos “smells.”

In response, Lagos Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, dismissed the claims, insisting that some individuals are deliberately attempting to tarnish the image of the state.
