Aminu Tambuwal, the senator for the Sokoto South senatorial district in the National Assembly, has named sixty-four people as his assistants.
The development was disclosed by the senator, who chairs the Senate Committee on Housing and Urban Development, in a press release that was provided the reporters on Monday by Muhammad Bello, his media assistant.
The project is a part of his constituency’s attempts to empower its people, the statement said.
Those who held the positions of special advisers and commissioners during Tambuwal’s tenure as governor of Sokoto State are among the new assistants.
A portion of the statement said, “This initiative is part of the Senator’s efforts to empower his constituents and drive his development agenda.”
Aminu Bodinga, Special Adviser on Constituency Affairs and Stakeholders Engagement, is one of the selected assistants. Special Advisor on Constituency Political Affairs, Alhaji Ahmed Maradu, Special Advisors on Traditional and Religious Matters for the Constituency, Bello Tureta, and Welfare for the Constituency, Bala Yabo.
The others are Abdullahi Dange, Special Adviser on Constituency Security Matters; Lauwali Fakku, Special Adviser on Community Orientation and Enlightenment; Bashir Lambara, Special Adviser on Special Duties; and Nasiru Tambuwal, Special Adviser on Youth and Student Affairs, Constituency Projects, and Youth and Student Affairs.
The list also included Lauwali Ubandoma, Surajo Isah, Ibrahim Ubale, Haliru Kilgori, Abubakar Rafi, Abubakar Salihu, and Ummaru Bodinga.
Additionally, within the Sokoto South Senatorial District, Senator Tambuwal selected seven Special Assistants to each of the seven Local Governments.
Tambuwal, Kebbe, Shagari, Yabo, Bodinga, Dange-Shuni, and Tureta are the local governments, in that order.
Tambuwal congratulated the new hires and urged them to give their all while carrying out their responsibilities.
