TCN Announces Planned Power Outage in Parts of FCT for Maintenance

• Power supply will be restored after the four-hour maintenance window.
• The outage will affect Gwagwalada and its neighboring areas.
• TCN urges residents to plan accordingly during the maintenance period.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has alerted Federal Capital Territory (FCT) residents about scheduled power cuts due to maintenance work. The company announced that engineers will carry out the planned repairs on two transmission substations over the weekend.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, maintenance will take place on a 60MVA power transformer and its switchgear at the Gwagwalada 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation. As a result, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (Abuja DisCo) will be unable to supply electricity to Gwagwalada and surrounding areas for four hours.
