Tunji Wusu –
Nigerians have been reminded not to use social media to complain about police officers, according to the acting inspector general of police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun. On Tuesday, August 22, Egbetokun expressed the need during a gathering of stakeholders at the police command’s headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo state.
“Don’t go to social media if you have any complaints about the police,” he said. Visit the state’s police commissioners. We cannot promise that all of our soldiers will act well; some may behave badly.
Inform the CPs or any higher-ranking official who will investigate and see that justice is served. On social media, there are a lot of lies being spread. Consult the police commissioners or police public relations officers (PPROs) if you require clarification.
