Jelili Sulaimon, the Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, has presented an Appropriation Bill in the amount of N2,596,005,276.08.
Recurrent spending is N598,283,845.32 and capital spending is N1,977,721,430.76.
“We have finished the Koto/Iraboh drainage channel and finished the interlocking stone on Adebanjo road, Adebunmi street, Miccon, started construction of Azeez Ayorinde street, Fafore street, Santos Layouts, Akowonjo, Alimosho, Lagos, completed Olorungbebe Primary Health Care, purchased patrol vehicles,” Jelili said.
He stated that the legislative branch is a vital stakeholder since the administration cannot act unless the budget is appropriated and approved.
“We encourage you to do honor to the bill, so the people can experience the advantages. “This budget is intended to maintain the momentum we’ve established, and it is expected to comply with the fiscal responsibilities of both the federal and state governments,” he said.
House leader Hammed Obadina praised the council chief for constantly including councillors in council matters.
“You aren’t simply a former councillor; you were previously a House leader, so you understand the duties councillors play in running the council,” says the mayor.
