Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos reserved the judgment of convicted controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, often known as Bobrisky, for April 9, 2024.
The judge further ordered that he be returned to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s custody until the decision.

Bobrisky previously pleaded guilty to the EFCC’s charge of abusing the naira.

He told the court that he was unaware of the legislation of naira abuse and asked with the Judge to enable him to utilize his platform to educate Nigerians and the public.

However, Justice Awogboro denied his request, stating that ignorance of the law was no excuse.
