N2.8 billion has been authorized by the Jigawa government to feed the state’s poor and underprivileged residents during Ramadan. L
This was said in a statement released on Thursday in Dutse by Sagir Musa, the state’s commissioner for information, youth, sports, and culture. According to Mr. Musa, the choice was made on Wednesday, March 13, during the executive council meeting.
According to the information commissioner, the gesture was made to lessen the hardship brought on by the recent increase in the price of food in Nigeria.
He added that 609 feeding centers have been approved by the government for Ramadan feeding throughout the state, with at least two centers approved for each of Jigawa’s 287 wards.
