The Oyo Mesi has approved Omooba Lukman Adelodun Ayinla GBADEGESIN to succeed the deceased Alaafin of Oyo, “Oba Olayiwola Lamidi Adeyemi,” Iku baba yeye, who passed away last year. The Gbadegesin dynasty of the Agunloye Ruling House is the new Alaafin (palace owner). He is an ancestor of Alaafin Gbadegesin Ladigbolu II, Alaafin Lamidi Adeyemi III’s father. He is the father of 5 children, including 2 sons and 3 gorgeous daughters, one of whom earned a law degree from the Alhaji Atiku ABUBAKAR-owned American University of Nigeria in Yola, Adamawa State.
During the Olusegun Obasanjo administration, Prince Lukman Gbadegesin served as the personal assistant to Alhaji Aruna Elewi, a Minister of State for Communication. Additionally, he is connected to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president and PDP presidential contender. Just yesterday was his birthday. He also resides in Abuja. He’s a very successful contractor. From among more than 80 hopefuls, he was picked.
The Prince had to disprove several unproven accusations of fraud levelled against him in order to become the NEW Alaafin. Those unsubstantiated accusations would suddenly be banished from existence and never be brought up again.
One of the two most significant king titles in Yoruba country is the Alaafin stool. Prince Gbadegesin will become the 46th Alaafin of Oyo when he takes the throne formally later this year. The title ‘GBADEGESIN LADIGBOLU III’ is most likely to be adopted by him. Salutations to His Royal Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo, Alaiyeluwa Oba Lukman Adelodun Ayinla GBADEGESIN, LADIGBOLU III.
