Corps Members have been cautioned not to use social media to convey false information, but rather to advance national unification and unity, which formed the cornerstone of the Scheme’s creation.

Brigadier General Muhammad Fadah, the director general of the National Youth Service Corps, provided the advise to the 2022 Batch “C” Corps Members on Sunday during the Orientation Camps in the states of Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara.

Throughout their service year, he counseled the corps members to remain security-conscious.

Fadah advised them from placing themselves in danger by stating that the NYSC Management has taken adequate measures to ensure their security and general wellbeing.

Avoid nighttime travel, solo exploration, accepting rides from strangers, and other unsafe activities, he advised.

The Director General encouraged them to carry out their task with a strong sense of responsibility and made hints about their impending participation as INEC ad hoc workers during the 2023 general elections.

Please follow the electoral laws and don’t let yourself be used by unpatriotic elements to undermine the legitimacy of the election, he added, asking everyone to play by the rules of the game.

The 397 Corps Members registered in the Camp were well-behaved, according to Muhammad Namalam Taura, the NYSC Zamfara State Coordinator.

The Coordinator, Alhaji Muhammad Nakamba, welcomed the Director General to Sokoto and let him know that camp activities were proceeding well.

All course participants in Kebbi State underwent the COVID-19 test, which was administered by NCDC authorities in coordination with the NYSC Corps Medical staff, according to the coordinator, Alhaji Mustapha Mohammad.
