On Wednesday, when Governor Ademola Adeleke declared he would take over the Ministry of Works, commissioners approved by the Osun State House of Assembly took the oath of office.

Adeleke also announced that his deputy, Mr. Kola Adewusi, would be in charge of the Ministry of Sports and Special Needs at the swearing-in ceremony for the new commissioners, which was held at the Osun Government Secretariat in Osogbo.

Adeleke demanded collaboration from the cabinet members in her continued remarks at the gathering of relatives, family, and PDP members from around the state.

Adeleke promised that his staff would increase efforts to fulfill his election pledges. He also informed the appointees of the great expectations the Osun people had of the administration.

As we all know, I work well with others. In our cabinet, there won’t be any space for single performers. To improve the lives of our people, you must collaborate with one another toward a common objective.

“Most importantly, the rule of law and due process are important to me as a leader. You cannot skimp on quality. I won’t jeopardize openness and responsibility.

“As you join our team, please know that we have a huge work ahead of us. We owe it to ourselves to make the most of our hardship. In order to accomplish our climate change plan, we must reengineer our economy, create wealth, engage our youth, broaden our economic base, and embrace the digital economy.

“We are the sector-specific innovators to address the shortfall in our state. I am aware that you have many fresh ideas for the bigger Osun agenda. I think you have a lot of ideas in your hands and in your thoughts on how to solve our time’s governance issues. Let them go.”

Dr. Basiru Salam, the Ministry of Regional Integration and Special Duties, Mr. Morufu Ayanfe, the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Communication Technology, Mr. Moshood Olagunju, the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Mrs. Adenike Adeleke, the Ministry of Federal Affairs, Mr. Dosu Babatunde, and the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs are among the others who took the oath of office.

Additionally, Mr. Bunmi Jenyo was given the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Alfred Oyedele was sworn in as the commissioner in charge of the Ministry of Transport.
