The Seme land border will once again be open for the importing of vehicles, according to the Nigerian Federal Government.

Vanguard reports that Ibrahim Musa, director of road transportation at the Ministry of Transportation, said this on June 21, 2023, a Wednesday.

Musa stated that the situation came about as a result of complaints made by freight forwarders working at the Seme border during his speech at the Economic Community of West African States, or ECOWAS, meeting, which was organized by Nigerian and Benin Republic officials.

“When the freight forwarders asked for the border to be reactivated for the free flow of goods and services, I was present along with the former Minister of State for Transportation.
