Babatunji Wusu –
Pastor Isaac, the second son of Bishop David Oyedepo, the man who founded Living Faith Church Worldwide, is said to have left the ministry.
According to reports, the purported resignation was made public on Wednesday by Church Gist, a website run by Pastor Leke Beecroft, a long-time pastoral assistant at the LFC Headquarters in Ota.
Pastor Isaac, who was named the national youth pastor of the Youth Alive Fellowship (YAF) in September, is rumored to be preparing to launch a new church ministry.
The Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) had announced Pastor Isaac’s leadership via its official Facebook page, stating that the new youth pastor will lead the young congregation to great heights.
The Youth Alive Fellowship wrote on its website, “On behalf of the Youths of Living Faith Church Worldwide, we say a big welcome to our National Youth Pastor, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo as he takes the Youth Alive Fellowship to the next levels of glory.”
Recently, Isaac stated in an interview that his life’s work was “to reclaim a generation and to ensure that this generation sees the fire God’s revival in our generation.”
Prior to his resignation, he served as the leader of Young Apostolic Fellowship, which has the mission “to liberate the whole world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the Word of Faith.”
American minister Kenneth Copeland installed Isaac as the pastor of the Living Faith Church in May 2007.
He served as pastor of the Winners Chapel International in South Africa, Maryland, and Lokogoma, Abuja before being transferred to the Canaanland Ota headquarters.
He is wed to Ayomitide Omogbadegun, and the two of them are parents.
While David Jnr., the elder brother of Isaac, is currently the Resident Pastor of Faith Tabernacle at the LFC Headquarters in Ota, Isaac received his degree from Oral Roberts University in the US.
