‘THERE IS NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THE PDP’S DRUG TRAFFICKING ALLEGATIONS AGAINST TINUBU.’ FANI KAYODE

According to Femi Fani-Kayode, a spokesperson for the ruling All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, APC PCC, there is no evidence to support the People’s Democratic Party, PDP drug trafficking claims against Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.

On Monday, Fani-Kayode stated this in an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today.

The former Minister of Aviation, who chastised the PDP for filing a lawsuit challenging the candidacy of in the presidential elections on February 25th, called the allegations baseless.

According to Fani-Kayode, the PDP is launching the case to divert attention away from the APC’s own case against the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for alleged corruption.

“This is a simple lie,” he said. Mendacity with a flaw. Complete nonsense. Tinubu was never found guilty. According to the Americans, he was not indicted and was not convicted.

“Yet they continue to bleat like little children about these things. It has no foundation in reality. It’s a very simple process. This is a civic duty for us.

“We need to be responsible and it is our duty to expose Atiku for what he really is and we will continue to do that. They have attempted to respond by hurling insults and making false allegations without providing any credible evidence.

“If you have that kind of evidence, present it before the public and let us see. Then we’ll think about what you’re saying. “So stop throwing bricks with nothing inside them to carry weight,” he said.

Recall that the PDP campaign council’s spokesperson, Kola Ologbodiyan, told reporters on Monday that the party had approached the courts seeking Tinubu’s disqualification over allegations of drug trafficking in the United States.

The PDP PCC announced that it had begun legal proceedings to disqualify the APC presidential candidate from running in the 2023 presidential election.

According to Ologbodiyan, the PDP is asking the court to order the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately delist Bola Tinubu as the APC’s or any other political party’s presidential candidate.
