Three Chris Uba suspects kidnappers were killed by police.

Three members of an armed criminal gang that attacked the convoy of Chris Uba, a well-known member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), were eliminated by the Anambra State Police Command.

In Uga, which is in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, two police officers from the Enugu State Command lost their lives on December 28, 2023, during the assault that was planned by the attackers.

Aderemi Adeoye, the Commissioner of Police, confirmed the operation’s success and announced the rescue of a 51-year-old abduction victim during an interview with reporters.

He told the public that there was a massive manhunt in progress to capture the gang’s surviving members and that criminals would have nowhere to hide.

“Since the Uga attack, the gang has been closely monitored,” he declared. But because this is the holiday season of celebration, the police held back in order to prevent unintentional casualties.

“The police intervened right away, isolating the gang from the unsuspecting populace in the vicinity of Ogboji, in Orumba South Local Government.

“Four improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found and defused, and three gang members were slain.

“In addition, one Lexus Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), two pump action guns, and sixteen live cartridges were found.”A 51-year-old abduction victim made it out alive.
