Three Dead After Helicopter Crashes into Waters Near Port Harcourt.

Three people have been confirmed dead after a helicopter crashed into the waters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Channels Television reports that the incident occurred at 11:22 am on Thursday, along the waterways in Port Harcourt.

The Sikorsky SK76 helicopter, with registration 5NBQG and operated by East Wind Aviation, was traveling from the Port Harcourt Military Base (DNPM) to the Nuimantan oil rig.

According to Odutayo Oluseyi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, eight individuals were on board.

The helicopter went down near Bonny Finima in the Atlantic Ocean, and authorities have launched rescue efforts.
