Before President Bola Tinubu presents the 2024 Appropriations Bill to a joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives, there is heavy security at the National Assembly Complex.

The National Assembly’s Green Chamber will host the 2024 budget presentation by 11 a.m.

More armed police officers were seen to be dispatched to the complex’s main (MOPOL) gate, villa gate, and National Assembly Annex gate entrances.

It was discovered that the typical commotion and vehicle and pedestrian traffic limitations connected with the National Assembly were missing, meaning that anyone without an accreditation could not pass.

The President is expected to deliver a ceremonial speech and present the parliamentarians with the N26 trillion budget.

According to Naija News, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved the budgetary amount for 2024 on Tuesday.
In the meantime, Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, today in order to participate in the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP28) Climate Summit.
